Itinerary Builder seats

The Itinerary Builder is a paid add-on for agent accounts, billed per seat. The first seat costs more than each additional one, so the more of your team you add, the less each extra person costs:

So 3 seats is R1,999 + R999 + R999 = R3,997/month, not 3 × the first-seat price. Prices are VAT-inclusive and may change — the seats page always shows your actual total before you confirm anything.

A seat gives one team member access to build, publish, and share itineraries. Seats are separate from your plan's ordinary team seats (which cover logging in and using the rest of Tourium).

Enabling the module

  1. Go to Organisation → Billing and find the Itinerary Builder in the Add-Ons card. You can switch it on from any account, including a free one or a trial — if there's nothing to bill it against yet, you'll be taken through a short checkout to set that up.
  2. Switch it on. A dialog asks you to choose the team members who should get a seat, and shows what your add-ons will come to per month before you commit.
  3. Confirm. The Itinerary Builder appears in the sidebar for seat-holders, and a Manage seats link takes you to the seats page.

You can also enable it during signup — the onboarding option "Enable the Itinerary Builder" turns it on and gives you the first seat.

Disabling the module asks you to confirm and shows what your monthly cost drops to. It removes all seats immediately and stops its billing from your next cycle. Itineraries you have already built are not deleted.

Managing seats

The Itinerary Builder seats page lists your team members with their seat status (Has access / No access) and shows the price per seat plus your estimated monthly cost.

Grant a seat

  1. Click Grant seat next to a team member.
  2. Review the billing note — you're charged a prorated amount today for the rest of the current billing cycle, then the full seat price each cycle.
  3. Confirm. Access is granted immediately.

If the prorated card charge fails, the seat is not granted — check your payment method and try again.

Revoke a seat

  1. Click Revoke seat next to the member.
  2. Confirm. Their access is removed immediately, and your monthly bill decreases from the next billing cycle.

Who can do what

  • Managing seats requires the Manage team-level access (itinerary.seats.manage permission); owners and admins have it by default.
  • Team members without a seat don't see "My itineraries" in the sidebar and can't open the builder. Managerial roles can access the builder without holding a seat.
  • On a custom plan, seats are part of your arrangement — contact the Tourium team to add or remove them.

Good to know

  • Seat charges appear on the Billing page as an add-on line item, and one-off prorated charges show under On-demand charges on the Invoices page.
  • You must invite people to your team before you can seat them — see Team management.
  • Adding a member to your team does not give them an Itinerary Builder seat automatically; grant it here.
