Platform tour

The platform tour is a guided walkthrough of Tourium. It highlights each major feature in the sidebar one at a time, with a short description of what it's for and how to use it. It's the fastest way to get your bearings when you're new.

What it looks like

When the tour is active, Tourium dims the rest of the page and puts a bright spotlight around the feature being described. A small popover appears next to the spotlight with:

A title naming the feature.
A short description.
Previous and Next buttons to move through the tour.
A Skip button to exit.
A step counter showing where you are in the tour.

Clicking Next may also navigate you to a different page in Tourium, so the next step can highlight something there.

Common tasks

Nothing to do — the tour starts automatically the first time you sign in. Just read each step and click Next to continue.

Skip the tour

Click Skip from any step. Your progress is saved, so if you change your mind later you can pick up where you left off or restart from the beginning.

Resume a skipped tour

If you skipped mid-way, Tourium will offer to continue the tour the next time you visit a relevant page. You can also restart it manually.

Restart the tour from the beginning

Click your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.
Open Settings → Profile.
Click Restart Platform Tour.

The button only appears if you've already seen (or skipped) the tour at least once.

Different tours for different users

The tour is tailored to your account type:

Agents see a tour focused on browsing rates, signing contracts, and reviewing specials.
Suppliers see a tour focused on uploading rates, managing properties, building STO agreements, and sharing promotions.

Guided setup is separate

New suppliers and agents also go through guided setup, a full-screen wizard that runs right after signup and walks you through actually configuring your account (brand, team, modules, and so on). Guided setup is separate from the platform tour — setup teaches you how to configure your account, while the tour teaches you where things are once it's configured. The two don't compete: the tour only starts once you've completed or exited guided setup. See Guided setup.

Tips

You can press Escape or click outside the popover to close the tour temporarily.
If the feature a step is pointing at isn't visible on your screen (for example, on a smaller window), scroll the page so it comes into view, then click Next.
The tour is the quickest onboarding there is — even if you're an experienced Tourium user coming back, running it once refreshes your memory of features you haven't touched.
