Appearance
For: Everyone Where to find it: Click your avatar (bottom of the sidebar) → Settings → Appearance
Appearance settings let you switch Tourium between light, dark, and system themes. It's a personal setting — changing it only affects your view, not anyone else on your team.
The three themes
- Light — a warm cream background with dark text. Best in bright rooms.
- Dark — a warm dark brown background with light text. Easier on the eyes at night and in low light.
- System — automatically matches your device's current setting. If your phone or laptop switches to dark mode in the evening, Tourium will follow.
Common tasks
Switch themes
- Open Settings → Appearance.
- Click the theme you want — Light, Dark, or System.
The change takes effect instantly — no save button, no page reload. The currently selected theme is highlighted.
Tips
- Your choice is saved to your browser, so it persists across sessions on the same device.
- If you pick System and your operating system is set to "automatic by time of day", Tourium will change theme whenever your device does.
- The theme applies to every Tourium page, including forms, dashboards, and the Touri Chat interface.
- Some users find dark mode easier when working with photos and image-heavy content because there's less glare around the picture.
