Brand switching

For: Suppliers who manage more than one brand Where to find it: The brand switcher in the header bar at the top of the page

If your company runs several businesses under different names — for example, a luxury lodge brand and a budget safari brand — each one can exist as a separate brand on Tourium. The brand switcher lets you move between them without signing out.

If you only have one brand, the switcher isn't shown at all — this article isn't really about you.

Why brands are separated

Each brand is its own presence on Tourium. That means:

  • Properties and services are scoped per brand.
  • Rates are uploaded against a specific brand.
  • Connections are made between a brand and an agent, not between your whole company and an agent.
  • STO agreements are sent from a specific brand.

This lets you treat each brand as its own business relationship, with its own inventory, pricing, and paperwork, while still managing all of them from a single Tourium login.

Common tasks

See which brand you're in

Look at the header bar at the top of the page. Your current brand name appears next to a tag icon. Everything you create or edit — properties, rates, connections — happens inside this brand.

Switch to another brand

  1. Click the brand switcher in the header.
  2. You'll see a list of every brand you have access to. The current brand has a checkmark.
  3. Click the brand you want to switch to.
  4. Tourium reloads with that brand active. You'll see that brand's properties, rates, and connections from now on.

Understand what changes when you switch

  • Lists (properties, rates, connections, agreements) refresh to show the new brand's data.
  • If you're looking at a specific item that belongs to the old brand (say, a rate sheet), Tourium takes you back to the list page for that section instead — the item isn't in the new brand's data.
  • Your personal settings (profile, password) don't change — they're tied to your user, not the brand.

Tips

  • Always double-check the brand switcher before you create something. It's easy to upload a rate sheet to the wrong brand if you're in a hurry. Properties, services, and rates can't be moved between brands, so a mistake means deleting and re-creating.
  • You can't create or delete brands from the switcher. To add a new brand, go to your organisation name → Brands in the sidebar. See Brands.
  • Agent accounts only ever have one brand. The switcher only appears for suppliers with two or more brands.
  • On mobile, the brand name is truncated to fit the narrow header — tap it to see the full name.
