Connection lists

A connection list is a named group of agents you can use for bulk actions — sharing rates, sending specials, dispatching STO agreements. Instead of manually ticking agents every time, you build a list once and reuse it.

Three kinds of list

Static lists — you pick the agents manually. The list is a snapshot; it doesn't change unless you edit it.
Dynamic lists — you pick the criteria (country, agent type, connection status) and Tourium keeps the list in sync automatically. Every time you use a dynamic list, it's evaluated against your current connections.
Hybrid lists — a mix of both: Tourium applies your filter criteria to pull in matching agents automatically and you can add specific agents on top of that. Use this when "everyone in Cape Town, plus these three VIP partners who happen to be based elsewhere" describes your group better than dynamic or static alone.

Pick the right type based on how the group will change over time. "All agents in Cape Town" is a good dynamic list. "Our top 10 partners for 2025" is a good static list. "All leisure partners in Europe, plus our key incentives contacts" is a good hybrid.

Common tasks

Create a list

Open Network → Lists.
Click New List.
Enter a name and an optional description.
Choose Dynamic, Static, or Hybrid.
If Dynamic: tick criteria — region, agent type, connection status. Tourium shows a live count of matching agents as you adjust the filters.
If Static: search your connections and tick the agents you want in the list.
If Hybrid: you'll see both — set filter criteria, then add any specific agents you want on top of the filter results.
Click Create List.

Edit a list

Click the list in your library.
Update the name or description.
For dynamic lists, adjust the criteria. For static lists, add or remove agents manually.
Save.

Duplicate a list

Useful as a starting point for a similar group. Click Duplicate on the list card. A copy is created — if the original is dynamic, you get a copy of its criteria; if static, you get a copy of its current members. The copy is a snapshot at that moment, so editing the original later doesn't affect the duplicate.

Delete a list

Click Delete and confirm. The list is removed from your library. Deleting a list does not affect the agents themselves — they're still in your connections, just not in this grouping anymore.

It does affect anything shared with the list. Files in your Shared library whose audience was this list lose that route in, so an agent who could only see them through the list stops seeing them. Deactivating a list has the same effect while it's switched off.

Use a list for a bulk action

Lists show up as options in the "choose recipients" dialogs on:

Pick the list from the dropdown and every member of that list is selected in one click.

Lists also appear in the Who can view dialog in your Shared library, and they behave differently there. A rate share or a special is a one-off send to whoever was in the list at that moment; a library file shared with a list stays tied to the list itself:

Add an agent to the list — or a dynamic list picks one up automatically — and they can see those files straight away. You don't re-share anything.
Remove them from the list and their access goes away.
Deactivate or delete the list and everyone loses access to files that were only shared through it.

That makes lists the tidiest way to manage file access for a group that changes over time. It also means a dynamic list is doing real work in the background: widen its criteria and you widen who can read those documents. Check with Preview as agent in the Shared Library if you're unsure who a change let in.

Tips

Give lists clear names that describe why the group exists, not what's in it — "Leisure partners — high season" is more useful than "Group A".
Dynamic lists are usually lower maintenance. Reach for a static list when the group is genuinely curated and shouldn't change automatically. Reach for hybrid when you want the automatic behaviour of dynamic but with a hand-picked set of extras you know won't match any filter.
When you add a new agent to your network, any matching dynamic list will include them automatically next time it's used. Keep that in mind — you might start sending promotions to new partners you haven't spoken to yet, and they'll pick up any library files shared with that list.
Static lists built now are snapshots. If you want them to reflect your current network, rebuild them every few months.
