A service in Tourium is something bookable that isn't a room — a guided tour, a transfer, a meal package, a spa treatment, a conference venue. Services sit alongside properties: you can have properties only, services only, or both.
Common tasks
Add a new service
Like properties, services are created through a five-step wizard.
- Click Add Service.
- Step 1 — Basic info. Enter the service Name and pick a Company Type — these two are required. You can also set a Provider Type and Currency here, though they're optional at this step.
- Step 2 — Rate details. Set the period the service is valid for — a Valid from and Valid to date — and any pricing period notes.
- Step 3 — Location. Enter an address, GPS coordinates, and one or more operating locations (use the add / remove buttons to build the list).
- Step 4 — Policies. Write your terms and conditions, a cancellation policy (you can add multiple rows — e.g., "more than 30 days out: 10%", "less than 7 days: 100%"), a children policy, and any free-text notes.
- Step 5 — Social. Add social media links and review platform URLs (TripAdvisor, Google Reviews, etc.).
- Click Create. The service is saved.
Required fields: Name and Company Type. Everything else is optional.
Edit a service
- Click the service you want to edit.
- Use the tabs — Basic, Rate Details, Location, Policies, Social — to find the field you want.
- Edit and click Save.
Search your services
Type a service name into the search box at the top of the list. Click Clear filters to reset.
Delete a service
Click the trash icon on the row and confirm.
Service vs property
- A property is a place — rooms, addresses, photos, check-in instructions.
- A service is an experience or offering — tours, transfers, activities.
Services don't belong to a property in Tourium's data model, so you can have services offered across multiple properties, or services that have nothing to do with any property at all.
Tips
- Enter multiple email addresses in the contact field by separating them with commas — the system will accept the list.
- Build your cancellation policy with multiple rows instead of one long paragraph. Agents need to be able to skim it at a glance.
- The review links (TripAdvisor, Google) appear in your brand profile and help agents trust your operation — add them if you have them.
- Services, like properties, are scoped to the current brand. Make sure you're in the right brand before creating.
