Password and security

For: Everyone Where to find it: Click your avatar (bottom of the sidebar) → SettingsPassword

This page lets you change the password you use to sign in to Tourium.

Common tasks

Change your password

  1. Open Settings → Password.
  2. Type your current password in the first field.
  3. Type your new password in the second field.
  4. Type the same new password again in Confirm password.
  5. Click Save.

If everything matches and your current password is correct, Tourium saves the new password immediately and you stay signed in.

If something goes wrong

  • Current password is wrong. The form clears the current password field and focuses it again so you can retype. Nothing is saved until the current password is correct.
  • New passwords don't match. The form clears the two new-password fields and puts the cursor back in the first one. Try again, being careful to type the same thing in both boxes.

Error messages appear in red under the field that caused the problem.

Choosing a good password

Tourium enforces minimum password strength when you save. Even when the minimum is met, a stronger password is always safer. Good practice:

  • Use at least 12 characters.
  • Mix upper and lower case, numbers, and symbols.
  • Don't reuse a password you already use somewhere else.
  • Consider using a password manager to generate and store a long, random password for you.

I forgot my password

If you can't sign in, use the Forgot password link on the login page. Tourium will email a password reset link to the address on your profile. Make sure your email is verified — see Profile settings.

Tips

  • All three fields are required every time you change your password, including the current one.
  • Changing your password does not sign you out of other devices automatically. If you're worried about a lost or stolen device, change your password and contact support.
  • There's no "password history" visible — Tourium doesn't show you what your previous passwords were.
